Delegation trip to Russia

From April 17 to 21, 2016, Marco Schülken participated in a delegation trip to Russia, which took place under the direction of the Minister President of Thuringia, Bodo Ramelow, and the Minister for Economy, Science and Digital Society, Wolfgang Tiefensee.
In Kazan, Tiefensee presented the Thuringian location and courted more economic cooperation between the two regions. During the economic forum “Thuringia - Tatarstan” in Kazan, Schülken signed a cooperation agreement with the commercial park Chimgrad, where a subsidiary of Schülken Form GmbH will be built by the end of the year.
Thuringia and the Russian Republic of Tatarstan have launched a German-Russian Engineering Center. The Center aims to bring together the technical expertise of both countries. The office, with one employee in Kazan and one in Ilmenau, is funded by the Thuringian companies. Maicom Quarz Posterstein, Schülken Form Waltershausen, Gramm Technik Ilmenau, Samag Saalfeld and ZM Engineering Mellingen will start things off. “Naturally, we're looking forward to having others participate,” says Klaus Augsburg, Prorector for Science at TU Ilmenau.
